I think I finally have this blog thing figured out (thanks to my good friend, Ginny), so it's time for a new post. I have had 2 chemo sessions and seem to be weathering them quite well. Thanks to the miracle of anti-nausea meds in my IV, feeling sick to my stomach has not been an issue. Fatigue, on the other hand, is my primary side effect and one which I don't mind at all. It is helpful that I have been able to take a break from teaching so I can sit on the sofa with the sun pouring in on my back. It's very comforting! I did teach five 15-minutes lessons last weeks and I found it so exhilarating that I am going to try for three 40-minute lessons this week. My hair has not fallen out yet, but I'm ready with my arsenal of new hats and scarves.

  1. OK so I think I finally figured out our end of the blog. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks! So glad to hear how you are doing with out feeling a little guilty infringing on your time with family etc. We love you guys to bits and are praying for you. By the way, have you ever wondered why feel smell and noses run? Just a thought! Love you!!!

  2. Thank you for your blog. I haven't wanted to bother you but have been thinking of you a lot. If you feel up to it I'll come and bring you a fresh pretzel with lots of salt! Let me know if that sounds good. Karen

  3. Hey girl, this is great! I think the haircut is cute, looks like you when you first dated Dan in high school. All you need now are the striped bellbottomed jeans!! Thanks for starting the blog, praying for you. Janiece

  4. Hi dear friend,
This is a perfect way to communicate with all of us. Your photo at the piano is beautiful. I enjoyed Janiece's comment about the 1970s short hair and striped bellbottoms. I remember that look!
    Love you,
    Jackie
