Last Friday was the beginning of Chemo-Part II. I continue to tolerate the treatment well except for an annoying rash on my head. The antibiotics used to treat the rash result in a rash on my hands and arms....what's a girl to do?! We're opting out of the antibiotics for now and after using baby shampoo, I'm just going hatless/scarfless as much as possible. It feels good to let the breeze float through what remains of my hair.
It has been wonderful having Elise home as she attended the WA Education Assoc. Convention in Spokane. Unfortunately, she came down with a case of the stomach flu, so we all donned masks with the hope of avoiding a full-blown Burger plague. So far, so good. Elise skipped her flight back to Seattle last night, and instead she will be flying out this afternoon.
I seem to be cancelling more lessons than I am teaching lately, but that seems to be what I currently need. Each day is different, but God and you, my family and friends, are giving me the strength I need to meet each day. Blessings on all of you!
Linda

So sorry about the rash(es), but I'm glad that you continue to tolerate the treatment. Although the hair is going, I'm happy that the sense of humor is intact! I think of you and pray for you often.

I just thought I would let you know that you are the ONLY blog I read. My life is WAY too busy to sit down at this computer and blog, but I make the time to keep up with you. Thanks for taking the time to keep us up-to-date. You, Dan, and Elise are always in our prayers!

Praying for you as you start this next round of chemo. Thanks for taking the time to write on your blog so we know how to specifically pray. Hope Elise was feeling better to fly back to Seattle. Glad she could have some time with you guys. We would love to see you guys again...soon. We will be in touch.

We are in Boise to visit with Wendy and her family. We will be returning home on Thursday and we are bringing Wendy with us. She wants to know if it is okay to call you on Friday and, if you are up to it, come by for a visit on either Friday or Saturday.
ReplyDeleteWe think of you often with love. Karen
I didn't realize when I posted the time would show up. As you can see, my sleep is interrupted as well. Maybe it is a family thing to wake up during the night. Now when you are awake you can be assured there is probably someone else near by and thinking of you!
